ImmSPLX
Single-cell transcriptome characterization of ageing blind mole rat immune system
- Principal Investigator: Maria Metsger, Dr. rer. nat.
- Acronym: ImmSPLX
- Implementation period: 1.7.2019- 30.6.2021
- Budget: 3 209 616 CZK
In our project, we aim to study the ageing of Spalax adaptive immunity using state-of-the-art techniques including highthroughput single-cell transcriptomics combined with TCR profiling, RNA FISH and single-cell qPCR quantification. This will allow us to systematically characterize the immune cell composition of Spalax secondary lymphoid organs, decipher key transcriptional mechanisms driving cell differentiation and playing functional roles in the prevention of immune senescence. These results will provide important insights in studying immune senescence and potential discoveries of longevity molecular mechanisms in mammals.
